Ms. Kaiya Murphy's Bio

Kaiya Murphy works within the intersections of energy, climate change and environmental justice while centering racial equity as a Research Associate with The Womanist Lab. Her areas of focus include community engagement and development, the nexus of food and energy burden, and building infrastructural and wellness resiliency through a climate change lens.
Kaiya holds a bachelor's degree from Spelman College in International Studies focusing on Sustainable Development and a Master in Sustainable Energy and Environmental Management from Georgia Institute of Technology. She also is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) that worked within Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia on environmentally friendly income generating activities, nutrition, and gardening practices.
